Spring 2011

Hello friends! Were you as excited as I was to see the daffodils and forsythia in bloom? I experienced the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC this year for the first time; absolutely breathtaking, and if that doesn't give you spring fever, I don't know what will! The fact that we were pelted with a hail storm mid tour did not deter! I am ready for spring and it is here to stay! I have many outdoor tasks left undone from fall that will keep me busy and productive. I've been working on revamping my wardrobe a bit, mixing and styling on a budget. With college tuitions now, I am learning to curb the shopping impulse, so I'm getting even more creative with the closet and it's rather fun. I made copious notes this winter in preparation for the change of season and I hope this newsletter gives you some inspiring ideas as we shed the winter doldrums and move into temps which promise sunny days and chirping birds!

Enjoy...and happy spring!

The current trends are earthy and natural sophistication. I love the woods and the colors that I am seeing. Bamboo is my new favorite material, in clothing, flooring, fabrics, etc. Amazingly beautiful and durable. Try some of the below:

Dark, natural tone woods
The new pinky-red colors
Raymour and Flanagan

Have I mentioned all things Bamboo?
